Absence of Health Workers Leaves Patients Unattended

Lack of health workers at the Khanikhola Rural Municipality -2 Falametar health post has affected the locals.
Ravindra Tamang, a local, stated that the absence of health workers has interrupted their regular health check-ups for pregnant women and treatment of colds and fevers. According to Tamang, the head of the health post,  Ram Ratan Yadav, and the Health Assistant, Navamuna Khadka, have not been present at the health post since last November.
Ramratan Yadav, head of the health post, informed us that a health worker Niruta Thing, who is working at the health post, is undergoing two months of training. There are six employees along with the Health Post  Office Assistants. Chief Yadav informed us that he has been traveling to the headquarters for his official work.
Kaman Gole, a local of the ward, said his wife was left unattended at the Health Post during her regular pregnancy check-up.
Man Bahadur Gole, a Social Worker of Khanikhola Ward No. 6, said that despite the fundamental right of every citizen to receive free basic health services under Article 35 of the constitution, the citizens of Khanikhola are deprived of this right.
