Absconding Accused of Caste-based Discrimination Arrested
Muskan Ghale, 24, also known as Nikesh of Chautara Sagachokgadi Municipality-5, who was sentenced to three months imprisonment and fined NPR 50,000 in the case of caste-based discrimination and untouchability, was arrested by the police on November 27, 2022.
District Court Sindhupalchok sentenced Ghale to imprisonment and fine on February 18, 2020.
A case was registered against Ghale in the district court on charges of caste-based discrimination and untouchability while he misbehaved with the local Dalit community when they were having a feast in Ghalegaon located in Chautara Sagachokgadhi Municipality-5.
DSP Shivakumar Budhathoki of the District Police Office said that Ghale, who was arrested by the police while he was on the run, was sent to the District Jail Chautara in the evening of November 27 to collect the prison sentence and fine.
