A Year Imprisonment For Attempted Murder of Minor
The Bench of District Court Judge Krisha Prasad Subedi’s bench, on May 31, 2023, has sentenced Indra Kumar Tamang,55 an advocate of Triyuga Municipality-12 Sunagavatol, to a year imprisonment on the charge of beating and attempting to kill an eight-year-old boy, Ayan Limbu, of Triyuga Municipality-12 Old Gaighat.
The court has imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000, and a compensation of Rs. 300,000.
The victim was brutally beaten by the accused on July 7, 2020.
The mother of the child victim, Yajana Tamang, filed a complaint against the accused at the district police office on July 7, 2020.
Based on the complaint of the victim, the police arrested the accused from his home on June 7 and registered a case of attempted murder at the district court on July 27.
According to the order of District Court Judge Deepak Khanal, the accused was released on a bond of Rs.300,000 on July 27.
The child, who suffered injuries was treated at the district hospital.
