Of these, 242 women were victims of domestic violence, 16 were victims of rape, and 7 were affected by polygamous marriages. Likewise, 12 girls were victims of rape, two were victims of sexual abuse, and one man faced caste-based discrimination.

Khadak Raj Joshi, the Coordinator of the INSEC Sudurpaschim Province Office Dhangadhi, stated that while analyzing human rights violations over these three months, violations from the state side have been minimal. However, there has been an increase in cases of abuse from non-state. He further added, that despite improvements in civil and political rights, there has been no progress in economic, social, and cultural rights. Therefore, it is essential for the state to fully implement national and international laws to ensure the protection of citizens’ rights.
