Civil Society helps to strengthen the democracy: Law minister Yadav
The minister of law and internal affair, Gyanendra Kumar Yadav said that the role of civil society is important to strengthen democracy. While speaking at the dialogue program with local representative and civil organizations organized by INSEC in province 2, he stressed that civil society role is essential for strengthening the democracy.
He said that the bill regarding the registration of NGOs will be initiated soon and further added that only after making the policy; it is easy to work in favor of citizens and civil society.
Speaking at the program, INSEC chairperson Dr Indira Shrestha the constitution has provisioned the rights of civil organizations and it should not be shrunken. She added that Civil society is a free body which can raise the issue of people and state must protect it.
INSEC project coordinator, Shree Ram Bajgain highlighted the objective of the program. Similarly INSEC provincial coordinator Raju Paswan stressed that civil organization act must be made through the discussion with civil society and stakeholders.
