68th International Human Rights Day being observed Nationwide

According to INSEC Mid-regional Office, 68th international Human Rights day has been observed nationwide by organizing various awareness related program.

According to INSEC Dhading District Representative Sita Ram Adhikari, an interaction program regarding the human rights situation of the district and stake holders role has been organized in the district.

INSEC district representative Sita Ram Adhikari had presented the data on human rights violations and atrocities collected throughout the district in one year.

INSEC Dhanusha district representative Binod Kumar Rabidas said that various rights activist organization of the district have celebrated the International Human Rights Day with a main slogan “Stand for other’s rights”. A morning rally has been organized in Janakpur on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

The morning rally was organized in joint banner of NHRC regional office of Janakpur, INSEC and Human Rights Network if the district. The rally was participated by more than dozen organization.

The rally was started from Janaki Mandir of Janakpur. Meanwhile, candle was lighted at Janak Chok after 5 PM.

According to INSEC Western Regional Office, the 68th International Human Rights day has been observed along with various program in the District.

On the occasion of Human Rights day morning rally was organized by Magna meet Kaski and NHRC regional office . The rally was participated by Human Rights defenders, security guilds, Administrators and students.

After the rally person actively involved in protection and promotion of Human Rights was felicitated. Former coordinator Ram Prasad Ghimire of Civil society network of Kaski and Activist Nirmala Gurung was facilitated in the program.

Speaking at the program, regional administrator Raj Baral said that it is state’s liability to protect and promote the human rights of its people.

Meanwhile, candle light was lit along with a quiz contest program on the occasion of international Human Rights Day.

According to INSEC Far western regional office, various program has been organized in district to celebrate 68th Human Rights day. Morning rally and inter-dialogue program was organized in coordination of NHRC and Human Rights day organizing committee.

The morning rally was participated by various organizations, students, police personals and activists.

In the program, the participants said that it is the state’s responsibility to protect and promote human rights however everyone has an equal rights to protect and promote the Human Rights.

In an inter dialogue progran Dhanapati Dhungel of District Food Rights Network of Kailali said that a memorandum has been handed over to the acting CDO Hira Lal Chaudhary regarding the food crisis in the district.

According to INSEC District representative Bharat Khadka of Udayapur, activist Hari Maya Shahi has been felicitated on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. She was felicitated for her contribution in Human Rights sector.

INSEC Gulmi representative Top Lal Aryal said that stakeholders in one program stressed that without education development and economic prosperity, human rights will not be fully utilized.

They said that until the poverty remains in society, human rights violation will continue to some extent.

Women Rights activist Bishnu Sapkota said that women violence is in disguised form due to the women engaged in domestic work. She added that due the lack of awareness such incident is prevailing in the society.

INSEC district representative Madhav Kumar Oli of Rolpa said that international day of Human Rights was celebrated in the district.

A program was organized in the district by DPO Rolpa, HUREC Rolpa and Save the children. The participants in the program said that police administration has been actively engaged in protection of Human Rights of the district.

Activist Ghanashyam Acharya said that the Human Rights situation of the district has been improved at present. Speaking at the program CDO Mitra Lal Sharma said that the fourth working plan of Human Rights is in last phase of implementation. DSP Ram Prasad Gharti of DPO said that police administration is committed to protect and promote the Human Rights of the people.

According to INSEC district representative Nanda Ram Paydel of Kapilvastu, various program was organized in the district in coordination 25  active organization under Accountability Watch Committee. In the program participants stressed the state’s responsibility on protecting and promoting human rights of the people.

In other parts of the nation, the 68th Human Rights day was observed with various rally, program and interaction program according to our district representatives. In Siraha district, blood donation was organized to mark the international day of Human Rights. In the program INSEC district representative Durga Pariyar was felicitated.
