Killing, abduction and extortion among other problems have persisted in Nepal even after the successful April Movement 2006 and Comprehensive Peace Agreement 2006. Activities as those common during the 10 years of conflict were thought of being numbered after the peace agreement but the things did not turn out had expected by the people. A new wave of Madhesh Uprising emerged in January 2007 and sprouting armed groups calling for the cause of Madhesi people and other nationalities have only added to the difficulties.

Real Full TextDiarrhea outbreak has been noticed in the hilly districts of Far Western and Mid-Western Region since the beginning of summer. Since February 26, 2010 to April 25, 17 persons have died due to the disease. One death occurred in Western Region on April 21 and disease has been noticed in many other districts. The name-list of the persons succumbing to the disease has been compiled on the basis of the reports sent by INSEC district representatives and monitoring report of the Regional Offices.

Such activities rampant during the 10 years of conflict were hoped to be vanished after the peace agreement but the development turned it into high hope. Madhesh Uprising in January 2007 and emergence of armed groups claiming to stand up for the cause of Madhesi people and other nationalities have only exacerbated the situation.
