Jamim Shah Shot dead

Kathmandu / February 7

Chairperson of Space Time Network, which runs Nepal’s first Satellite Television station Channel Nepal, Jamim Sah, 45, was shot dead by two armed assailants in Lazimpat area of the Capital on February 7.

 

Shah had sustained bullet injuries in his head and chest after two unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire at his car near the French Embassy in Lazimpat.

 

Shah had been rushed to TU Teaching hospital in Maharajgunj for treatment where the doctors declared him dead. Shah's driver Mathuraman Malakar also sustained bullet injuries in his legs and is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.


The gunmen immediately fled from the scene after the incident. Police said they are investigating the case and have carried out a manhunt to nab the assailants.

 

Various media related organizations have condemned the incident.
