Interaction Program Conducted On The Status Of Right To Health And The Role Of Stakeholders
An interaction program on the status of the right to health and the role of stakeholders has been organized by INSEC Sudur Paschim Provincial Office, Dhangadhi in collaboration with human rights groups.
Tej Prakash Joshi, in-charge of Punarbas Municipality-6, Sarashan Health Post, informed that the health post has 45 types of medicines provided free of cost by the municipality.
Bir Bahadur Bogati, Ward Chairman of Punarbas Municipality-5, said that the citizens have to face problems as the executive committee meeting could not be held due to the busy schedule of the mayor.
Man Bahadur Gurung, Ward Chairman of Punarbas Municipality-6, said that the citizens could be deprived of their right to health due to the failure of the municipality to implement its policies and programs.
Women’s Health Volunteer Ganga Rokaya said that there was a problem of malnutrition. Oral iron tablets given to pregnant women and vaccination of newborns under the age of five due to lack of medicines provided by the health posts.
Women’s Health Volunteer Kalpana Thapa said that the municipality has not been able to mobilize women health volunteers for public awareness in the pandemic.
