Human Rights Year Book pre-review held
Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has organized a pre-review of human rights year book-2019 in Butwal on November 17.
A discussion program was held between the stakeholders based on the incidents of human rights violation and atrocities collected in one year.
During the yearly review, INSEC district representative Reema BC presented the data of human rights violation from January 2018 till now which included 205 incidents of violation.
During one year, 79 incidents of domestic violence, 25 incidents of polygamy, 8 incidents of rape, six of attempted rape and three of marital rape were included.
Similarly, 32 incidents of child rape, 12 incidents of attempted rape, 24 incidents of human trafficking, one incident of witchcraft allegation, one of changing religion, 12 incidents of civil and political rights were documented by INSEC according to BC.
Speaking at the program, CDO Udaya Bahadur Rana praised INSEC of continuously contributing in the field of human rights and social justice.
The program was participated by advocates, security personnel, administrative officers and media personnel.
