Half Yearly Review of Nepal Human Rights Year Book Held

A half yearly review program of human rights year book is held in Dolpa on June 22. During the program, the speakers said that majority of the incidents of human rights violation is settled due to the political pressure.

During the six months of the period, five women were victims in human rights violation and abuses, two of rape, two of beatings and two of domestic violence. Mayor Om Bahadur Buda of Tripurasunderi Municipality said that criminal activity is increasing due to the settlement of majority of serious incidents of human rights violation.

Speaking at the program, NCP provincial committee member Kali Chalaune said that women are more victimized due to the trend of settling cases within the community.
