World Indigenous Day observed demanding constitution amendment
The 23rd world indigenous Day was observed on August 9 in Saptari with a motto of federal constitution amendment with identity.
The speakers of the program complained state of continuing discriminating indigenous people and warned to begin a big movement if discrimination continues.
In a program, chairperson Dev Lal Chaudhary of Nepal Indigenous people federation, District chairperson Brij Man Tamang, former chairperson Yam Bahadur Khapangi Magar, Mahendra Prasad Chaudhary and others stressed on commencing agitation to get their rights.
