Ward Office without secretary, service disrupted

Locals of Bajura have complained that they are facing difficulties due to the lack of adequate staffs at local levels in Bajura.

There are 69 wards in four municipalities and five Rural Municipalities. The beneficiaries are facing difficulties as there are no ward secretary and other staffs.

Chairperson Kali Bahadur Shahi of Jagannath Rural Municipality said that beneficiaries are facing difficulties on acquiring citizenship certificates, marriage certificate and birth registration due to the lack of  ward secretary.” The provincial government an center knows about the issue and we are waiting for the adjustment of staffs,” says Shahi.

Local Tapesh Rawal of Budhiganga Municipality-7 said that he could not get the services from the ward as one staff is given responsibility in whole Rural Municipality.

At present ward 7,8,9 and 10 are operating their services jointly from Bharabis VDS building.

Local Damber Singh said that due to the lack of staffs, it is very hard to get authorization.

In seven wards at Khaptad Chededaha Rural Municipality, only two staffs are working and due to the lack of staffs, there is question on quality of services according to Rural Municipality chairperson Nara Bahadur Rawal.
