Voters Education not being effective: member Pathak
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) member Sudeep Pathak said that the voter’s education is not being effective in province number 2.
Pathak had informed about the ineffectiveness of voter’s education in a press meet in Siraha on September 13 after a field visit in Siraha, Saptari, Dhanusha and Mahottari district.
He showed his serious concern on political parties using children in their election related campaign. He added that there has been lot of incidents of election code of conduct violation in province number 2 and it is important to stop this immediately. He said that there are high probability of void vote due to the ineffectiveness in voter’s education.
He further said that in 16 places of Saptari, the polling centers are kept under the tree in an open space which NHRC will not accept. He added that at least it should be under the tent.
