Update Of September 26 Regarding Corona Virus Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 71,821 after additional 1,207 new cases detected positive in Nepal on September 26, 2020. Out of them, 19,270 are females. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 53,013 have been discharged after recovery. On September 26, the rate of recovery reached 73.8% along with the 1,147 latest discharged after treatment. The ministry reported that 18,341 people are being treated. Till now, the death toll has reached 467. According to the Ministry, 10,019 number of swabs tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

In Province 2,

According to Saptari Representative Manohar Kumar Pokharel, a 63-year-old man working at Mahendra Bindeshwari Multipurpose Campus Rajbiraj died on September 26 while undergoing treatment at Rajbiraj Municipality-7 Hatiya. He was admitted to Birat Medical College in Biratnagar, Morang after suffering from fever, cough and respiratory problems. His health condition became more critical. The number of deaths due to corona infection in Saptari has reached 14. Two of them are women.

Ward Chairperson Israel Miya has been accused misbehaving with the journalist and his family. Miyan who reached the house of a 30-year-old infected journalist in Khadak Municipality-8 with police, army and ambulance. Acting Chief of the Health Office, Saptari, Duniyalal Yadav, who returned after inspecting the condition of the home isolation, said that there was no need to end the home isolation as per the prescribed health security criteria.

According to Ramechhap Representative Nawaraj Ghimire, COVID-19 has been confirmed in a prisoner of Ramechhap Prison on September 26. According to Public Health Officer at the District Health Office, Bhuwan Thapa, COVID-19 has been confirmed in the 38-year-old male prisoner.

According to Baitadi representative Nari Badu, a 29-year-old man of Purchaudi Municipality-3 has died due to COVID-19. The man, who had returned from Bangalore, India, was found dead at Lamadhar in Purchaudi. Assistant Chief District Officer Lokendra Singh Negi informed that the corpses of those who died due to COVID-19 will be managed as per the procedure 2076.
