Update of September 24 Regarding Corona Virus Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people have reached 69,301 after additional 1,497 new cases detected positive in Nepal on September 24, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 50,411 have been discharged after recovery. On September 24, the rate of recovery reached 72.7% along with the 457 latest discharged after treatment. The ministry reported that 18,437 people are being treated. Till now, the death toll has reached 453 and on September 24, 17 people died. According to the Ministry, 11,449 number of swabs tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total infected people, 27% (18,406) are females and 73% (50,895) are males.
In Province 2
According to Rautahat Representative, Kopila Timalsina, it has been decided to close the primary health centre in Katahariya Municipality from September 24 to 26, said Chief Administrative Officer Ram Prakash Sah. Sah informed that the Katahariya Municipality has issued a notice on September 24 and decided to stop all services provided by the primary health centre after a health worker was diagnosed COVID-19 positive.
In Gandaki Province,
According to Tanahu Representative, Prakash Chandra Bhattarai, a 39-year-old man of Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality-3 died to COVID-19. He died at Chitwan Medical College on September 24. According to Dr. Dayaram Lamsal, director of the hospital, he had gone to Chitwan Medical College on September 13 for kidney dialysis. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 on September 16. Five people have died from COVID in Tanahun.
In Karnali Province
According to Salyan Representative, Mina Budhathoki, the Dandagaun area in Khalanga has been sealed after COVID-19 was confirmed in three people. Ward Chairperson Keshav Shrestha said that Dandagaun of Sarada Municipality-2 has been sealed to prevent further infection after two employees of Division One Office Salyan and a local man were confirmed of being COVID-19 positive. The area around the waiting room of the old bus park, Ayurveda office and the barracks of the Armed Police Force-Kajidhara have been completely sealed from September 25 to 30. Division Forest Office, Sarada Municipality, Bagchaur Municipality and Siddha Kumakh Rural Municipality, three Sub Division Forest Offices have also been sealed, said Division Chief Ramesh Giri.
In Sudur Paschim Province,
According to Dadeldhura Representative, Bhupendra Bista, a 48-year-old man from Navdurga Rural Municipality died at Dadeldhura Hospital. A few days ago, he was brought to the hospital from India due to respiratory problems. The man who was rushed to Dadeldhura Hospital via an ambulance from Navdurga rural municipality has been of being COVID-19 positive in India and the laboratory test of Dadeldhura Hospital has also confirmed the infection.
