Update of September 14 Regarding Corona Virus Infection

On September 14, an additional 1,170 cases were diagnosed with which there are now 55,329 corona virus-infected people in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 39,576 have been discharged after recovery. On September 14, 879 were discharged. Out of the total number of infected, 71.5% have recovered. At present, there are 15,395 people being treated in different hospitals nationwide. Till now, the death toll has reached 360. According to the Ministry, in the past 24 hours, 10,878 swabs were tested.

As of September 14, corona infection has been confirmed in 12,250 people in three districts of Kathmandu Valley. In Kathmandu, 62 out of 10,028 infected have died and 4,520 have been cured, while in Lalitpur, nine out of 1,190 infected have died and 684 have been cured. In Bhaktapur, out of 1,032 infected, 13 died and 518 were cured. Others are being treated at various isolation centres and hospitals.

In Province 2,

According to Saptari Representative Manohar Kumar Pokhrel, a 28-year-old doctor of Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, a 40-year-old surgical assistant, a 25-year-old policeman working at the Hospital Police Beat and a 27-year-old resident of Mahadeva Rural Municipality-4, 85-year-old of Surunga Municipality-1 have contracted corona. A male patient of Rajbiraj Municipality-4 and a nurse of Rajbiraj Municipality-6 who was receiving dialysis service were found infected 10 days ago. Similarly, a 50-year-old cancer patient of Tilathi Koiladi Gaonpalika-1, his 45-year-old wife, 25-year-old daughter, a 28-year-old doctor of Ward No. 4 (working in Bhairahawa) and a 31-year-old employee of the tax office at Rajbiraj have also been infected.

According to Siraha Representative Durga Pariyar, a 35-year-old woman from Karjanha Municipality-2 died of corona infection at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpurdham on September 12 while undergoing treatment, said District Health Office Chief Krishna Dev Yadav. She was admitted to Kavya Hospital in Janakpur for treatment on September 11 after she was diagnosed with fever and respiratory problems.

According to Mahottari Representative Ajay Kumar Sah, a 60-year-old man from Loharpatti Municipality-3 died of corona infection on September 12. Dr Bijay Jha, director of the provincial health directorate, said that he was admitted to the provincial hospital in Janakpur on September 7 for treatment after suffering from coronavirus and respiratory problems. On the same day, he was admitted to the hospital on September 9, his swab was collected and sent to the laboratory. With his death, the number of deaths from corona in Mahottari has reached 13, said Girendra Kumar Jha, corona focal person of the district.

In Bagmati Province,

In this province, 442 people were infected in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur, eight in Dhading, 33 in Lalitpur, 31 in Chitwan, 70 in Makwanpur, three in Nuwakot, 14 in Kavrepalanchok, one each in Ramechhap, and Sindhuli. At the same time, the number of infected people in the province has reached 15,936. Of them, 7,919 have returned home after treatment while 8000 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centres. So far, the death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 108 in the province.

In Gandaki Province,

According to Tanahu District Representative Prakash Chandra Bhattarai, a woman of Aanbukhaireni village of Tanahu has died due to corona infection. A 76-year-old woman from Aabukhaireni Rural-4 has died at the Manmohan Cardio Vascular Treatment Centre Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu on September 9, according to the Gandaki Provincial Health Directorate. The woman had a heart problem. She was admitted to the hospital on September 7 and was confirmed as Corona on September 8. He was rushed to Kathmandu for treatment but his health did not improve.

At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Tanahu has reached four. Earlier, a 50-year-old woman of Beas Municipality-1 died in Pokhara, a 20-year-old woman of Beas Municipality-2 died in Kathmandu and a 96-year-old woman of Myagde Rural Municipality-1 died in Kathmandu.

According to Baglung Representative Sirjana Pant, the District Administration Office, Baglung, has been monitoring the market on September 12 and has requested not to buy or sell toxic chemicals such as methanol mixed hand sanitizer. The administration has also monitored the shops and drug stores selling sanitizers on September 13 and requested not to sell sanitizers certified by the Department of Drug Management.

According to Nawalparasi (East of Bardaghat Susta) representative Tirtha Raj Dumre, a 62-year-old woman of Gaindakot Municipality-9 has died of Corona infection on September 12. According to District Health Office Chief Keshav Prasad Chapagain, she was admitted to Chitwan Medical College in Chitwan on September 1 after suffering from fever, cough and respiratory problems. According to Chapagain, he died at 11:55 pm on September 11 while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College. Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat Susta) district has reached five.
