On September 10, an additional 1,246 cases were diagnosed with which there are now 50,465 corona virus-infected people in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 35,700 have been discharged after recovery. On September 10, 1,817 were discharged. Out of the total number of infected, 70.7% have recovered after treatment. At present, there are 14,448 people being treated in different hospitals nationwide. Till now, the death toll has reached 317. According to the Ministry, in the past 24 hours, 11,114 swabs were tested.

Provincial Reports

In Province 1,

According to Morang Representative, Netra Prasad Adhikari, COVID-19 Hospital, run by Neuro Hospital Biratnagar, has started free treatment of corona virus infected. Rajesh Bhattarai, operational director of the hospital, said that the hospital has started free treatment of corona virus infected with the approval of the Ministry of Social Development. The hospital has started treatment as the number of infected has increased. The hospital has internal sports facilities, recreation room and ventilator for those infected with the coronavirus. The Neuro Hospital has brought its expanded branch ‘Maternal and Child Hospital’ at Mahendra Chowk in Biratnagar into operation from August 28 by converting it into Kovid-19 Hospital. The COVID Hospital, which has a capacity of 50 beds, including General 43, ICU 7, and two ventilators, is currently treating 11 people infected with the coronavirus. The hospital has been providing all the services including 24-hour medical consultation, nutritious and balanced food and necessary medicines as per the doctor’s advice. Preparations for the construction of the laboratory have also reached the final stage along with the operation of COVID Hospital. According to the hospital, more than 500 coronaviruses can be tested daily to get results within six hours after the laboratory comes into operation.
