Update of October 23 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people have reached 153,800 after additional 4,499 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 23, 2020. Of those infected, 32% are female and 68% are male.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 105,488 have been discharged after recovery. On October 23, the rate of recovery reached 68.9% along with the 2,668 latest discharged after treatment. The ministry reported that 46,691 people are being treated. Out of which, 31,727 are in home isolation, 290 are being treated in ICU and 69 are being treated with the support of the ventilators.
Till now, the death toll has reached 829. According to the Ministry, 16,863 number of swabs tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
