Update of December 25 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

 The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 257,200 after additional 608 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 25, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 248,292 of the total infected have recovered. On December 25, the rate of recovery reached 96.5% along with the 892 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 7,092 people are being treated. Out of which 3,710 are in home isolation, 249 are being treated in ICU, and 46 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,816. According to the Ministry, 4,142 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Mugu and west Rukum while Kathmandu has more than 500 active cases.
