Update of December 2 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 236,264 after additional 1,490 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 2, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 218,161 have recovered. On December 2, the rate of recovery reached 92.3% along with the 1,567 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 16,547 people are being treated. Out of which, 10,741 are in home isolation, 365 are being treated in ICU, and 64 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,538. According to the Ministry, 8,300 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Manang and Dolpa while Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Jhapa, Morang, and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.
