Update of December 10 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 245,650 after additional 1,217 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 10, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 231,601 of the total infected have recovered. On December 10, the rate of recovery reached 94.2% along with the 1,064 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 12,386 people are being treated. Out of which, 7,721 are in home isolation, 309 are being treated in ICU, and 57 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,663. According to the Ministry, 7,232 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Manang and Dolpa while Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.
