Update of August 19 Regarding Corona Virus Infection
On August 19, an additional 681 cases were diagnosed with which there are now 28,938 corona virus-infected people in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 17,770 have been discharged after recovery. On August 19, 120 were discharged. Out of the total number of infected, 61.2% have recovered. At present, there are 11,118 people being treated in different hospitals nationwide. Till now, the death toll has reached 120. According to the Ministry, in the past 24 hours, 11,522 swabs were tested.

In Province 1,
According to the District Representative of Morang, Netra Prasad Adhikari, A 67-year-old woman of Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 has died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (GHOPA). The old woman was referred to BP by Birat Medical College on August 18 after the infection of corona virus was confirmed. At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona virus infection in Morang has reached nine.
According to the District Representative of Sankhuwasabha, Bhavin Karki, three people who have been infected with the corona virus on August 18 have been denied treatment for two days due to lack of isolation centre. Although all the isolation wards constructed by the state government have to be kept in the district after treatment, they have been stranded in the quarantine even after two days.
According to the District Representative of Sunsari, Jaya Krishna Yadav, a 71-year-old woman of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan-15, who was undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (GHOPA), has died on August 19 while undergoing treatment.

According to the District Representative of Saptari, Manohar Kumar Pokharel, after the death of a 28-year-old man of Rajbiraj Municipality-4 who showed symptoms of corona on August 18, the family has collected the swab and buried him in Rajbiraj on the same night. After the death of a 45-year-old man of Kanchanrup Municipality-8 whose swab was collected on August 14 after seeing symptoms of corona, his family conducted the last rites at Saptakoshi Barrage on August 19 without informing the health office and locals, informed Acting Chief of the Health Office Duniyalal Yadav. Both of their PCR results are pending.
According to the District Representative of Rautahat, Kopila Timalsina, all the services except the essential services from Madhab Narayan Municipality have been suspended from August 18 to September 2. Mayor Birendra Prasad Yadav said that the road has been sealed to prevent movement and movement except for urgent work.
According to the District Representative of Sarlahi, Budha Sah, as the number of corona infected people is increasing in Haripur municipality, the municipality has decided to seal it completely for 15 days by issuing a notice. On August 19, there were 134 infected in Kathmandu, 17 in Lalitpur, 24 in Chitwan, eight in Bhaktapur, 23 in Makwanpur, two in Nuwakot, one in Dhading which makes it a total 209 in the province. Out of 3,574 total infected, 724 have recovered after treatment and 2,826 are being treated in different hospitals and isolation centres. Till date, 24 have died in this province because of the infection.
According to the District Representative of Dhading, Sita Ram Adhikari, The Galchi rural municipality has again been locked down for another week.
According to the District Representative of Chitwan, Dipendra Adhikari, one person has died of corona virus infection on August 18. Corona infection has also been confirmed in four relatives of the deceased. A 108-year-old resident of Gothsor in Khairhani Municipality-3 has died at home due to corona infection, said District Health Office Chitwan Chief Deepak Babu Tiwari.
According to the District Representative of Nuwakot, Nawa Deep Shrestha, the district administration office has extended the ban after the Corona community spread in the district. A meeting of the Covid-19 District Crisis Management Centre has extended the prohibition for seven days with effect from the August 18.
According to the District Representative of Sindhupalchowk, Nati Bau Dhital, Chief of the District Health Office, Durga Datta Chapagain, said that isolation of 25 beds has been established in the hall of the District Coordination Committee at the district headquarters Chautara with the support of the Ministry of Social Development of Bagmati Province.

According to the District Representative of Rupandehi, Rima BC, as the risk of corona infection is increasing at the community level, the District Administration Office, Rupendehi, has decided to lock it down from August 18 to 23.
