Update of April 29 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 317,530 after additional 4,831 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on April 29, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 280,167 of the total infected have recovered and the rate of recovery has reached 88.2% along with the 888 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 12,597 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on April 29, 38% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 12.9% people diagnosed positive till now. On April 29, 384 people below the age of 19 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Till now, the death toll has reached 3,246. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 35 people died on April 29. There are 34,117 in isolation. There are more than 500 active cases in Morang, Parsa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski, Dang, Rupandehi, Banke, Surkhet and Kailali.
