Update of April 28 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 312,699 after additional 4,774 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on April 28, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 279,279 of the total infected have recovered.

On April 28, the rate of recovery reached 89.3% along with the 773 latest recovered. According to the Ministry, 13,879 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on April 28, 34% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 12.8% people diagnosed positive till now. On April 28, 416 people below the age of 19 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.

Till now, the death toll has reached 3,211. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 17 people died on April 28. There are 30,209 in isolation. There are more than 500 active cases in Morang, Parsa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski, Dang, Rupandehi, Banke, Surkhet and Kailali.
