Update of April 24 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 297,087 after additional 2,486 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on April 24, 2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 277,123 of the total infected have recovered.

On April 24, the rate of recovery reached 93.3% along with the 368 latest recovered. According to the Ministry, 7,525 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

Out of the total number of tests conducted, 12.4% were diagnosed positive. On April 24, there were 240 people below the age of 19 were diagnosed with positive

Till now, the death toll has reached 3,136. There are 16,828 in isolation. There are more than 500 active cases in Parsa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Dang, Rupandehi and Banke.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 15,512 are in home isolation and 1,316 are in organizational isolation. Similarly, 213 are in the ICU and 69 are under the support of a ventilator.
