Update of 25 April Regarding Corona Virus Infection
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, few people staying in the quarantine are suffering from malaria. Some people staying in the quarantine have tested positive. The ministry has not revealed numbers yet. The domestic and international flights are halted until 15 May.
Provincial Reports
In Province 1, PCR and RDT have examined 5,212 people till 25 April. Out of 914 examined by the PCR, two women and 28 men were tested positive and 185 reports are pending. Out of 4,298 RDT till 25 April, 10 tested positive. According to the provincial cabinet, upto 25 April 1,204 people are in quarantine. There are 31 people in isolation in the province. There are 5,715 people in home quarantine. A 62-year-old woman from Damak Municipality-3 was diagnosed with corona. There was a clash in Sunsari Harinagar Rural Municipality during relief distribution.
In Province 2, there has been 1,290 swab tests till 25 April out of which five have tested positive and 654 reports are pending. The infected ones are being treated in Narayani Hospital. Out of them three from Parsa and one from Rautahat have tested negative in their second PCR. In the RDT of 4,448 people, nine resulted positive. There are 1,470 in quarantine and 1,639 are in home quarantine. There are 23 in the isolation ward.
In Bagmati Province, 7,467 RDT and 7,485 PCR has been conducted. There have been seven infected people in this province and six have recovered. Since India-Nepal border is sealed, the 89 labourers were sent back to the factory.
In Gandaki Province, the 19-year-old suffering from corona has finally recovered. Also both of them suffering in this province have recovered. Swab samples of 20 suspected covid-19 cases have been sent for PCR test. In the province 564 swab samples have been tested among which 540 tests have resulted in negative and remaining reports are pending. Covid-19 infected 2 cases of Baglung district were returned home after a successful treatment.

In Province 5, 12 PCR have been conducted out of which 176 reported negative and six reports were pending while RDT has tested 2,874 people. There are no corona infected diagnosed in Province 1 yet. There are 6,501 staying in quarantine and there are 19 in isolation. To control the impact of lockdown, Agriculture Knowledge Centre Dang has initiated Agriculture Ambulance which will take the produced vegetables to the consumers. Butwal Sub-metropolitan has resumed giving vaccines which was halted due to lockdown. Likewise, 158 swabs were sent for test while three reports are still pending.
In Karnali Province, every day more than 500 people enter Jumla. Previously everyone stayed in quarantine but now the deny staying in quarantine. This has increased the risk of infection.
In Sudur Paschim Province, two positive results of RDT resulted negative in their PCR. Till date, 220 Nepalese have escaped quarantine and escaped from Indian border and swam back to the country whereas there are 1,063 people in five quarantines of Dharchula.
