Update of 15 July Regarding Corona Virus Infection

In Nepal, till 16 July, 17,177 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11,025 people have been discharged after treatment, 6,113 are being treated and 39 have died till date due to the disease. In the past 24 Hours, 5,090 PCR have been conducted, out of which 116 were tested positive.

Provincial Report

In Gandaki Province,

According to the District Representative of Baglung, Sirjana Pant, a couple which had returned from India and escaped the ward quarantine were brought to Ram Rekha quarantine. A team of police had searched for their residence and brought them to the quarantine. According to the couple, they escaped because of the unhygienic and unmanaged system of the ward quarantine.

In Karnali Province,

According to the District Representative of Dailekh, Amar Sunar, the ward office of Narayan municipality-4 was padlocked on 31 July after the ward office denied taking back the decayed rice that was distributed as relief.

In Sudur Paschim Province,

According to the District Representative of Kanchanpur, Komal Niranjan Bhat, INSEC Sudurpaschim provided health equipment to Purnabas Municipality on 15 July. The equipment were provided to help in reduction of risk of corona virus infection.
