Update of 12 July Regarding Corona Virus Infection

In Nepal, more than half of the corona virus infected people have been discharged after recovery. According to the report of Ministry of Health and Population, 51.1 percent people have been recovered. There are 16,801corona infected people diagnosed till date and out of them 8,589 have been discharged. Till date 38 have lost their lives, informed the ministry.

Provincial Reports,

In Bagmati Province, additional 12 cases have been diagnosed in the province and with this, there are 799 infected people. Out of them, 328 have been discharged after recovery and 462 are being treated in the different hospitals and isolation centres. Till date nine people have died due to the infection in this province.

In Gandaki Province, additional 16 cases have been diagnosed and with this a total of 1,192 corona virus infection cases have been found in the province.

In Karnali Province,

According to the District Representative of Jajarkot, Dinesh Kumar Shrestha, after lockdown started hindering education of children studying in different levels, to motivate them for studying at home, the Food for Education Program has started distributing food to students of 202 schools from 1 July 2020. They have targeted to distribute the food to 25,720 students within 31 July 2020.

In Sudur Paschim Province,

According to the District Representative of Doti, Basudev Joshi, INSEC’s facilitator Ranjana Bogati has handed over soap, sanitizer and gloves to Manju Malasi, Mayor of Silgadi Municipality. Those materials were given to support the prevention of corona virus infection.

According to the District Representative of Baitadi, Nari Badu, INSEChas provided health equipment to Dashrath Chand municipality to support the prevention of corona virus infection.
