Police have arrested two district level cadres of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand on charge of threatening candidate of local level election.
According to police chief Chandra Kabir Khapung of DPO, district member Hari Kunwar and Nara Bahadur Chettri were arrested by the police.
They were arrested to maintain peace after anti-election activities have accelerated in the district, said Khapung.
The District in charge Bikiran Chettri of the party demanded for the immediate release of the cadres.
The communist party led by Netra Bikram Chand has been pressurizing the cadres to resign from their candidacy and putting black flag in their houses as the election date is approaching.
