Sunkumari Succumbed the injury from Husband’s beatings
Sun Kumari Nepali of Rolpa Thawang-8 succumbed the injury from her husband’s beatings while going treatment at medical college at Bhairawa on Novemver 12. She was seriously injured in a beating.
Her husband Dhruba Nepali had beaten her on November 7 and the incident was made public on a same day according to DSP Ram Prasad Gharti Magar of DPO Rolpa.
The victim sustained serious injuries on her head, gum and teeth and bruises all over the body. She was rescued by Area Police Office and was admitted to local hospital and further taken to Bhairahawa for the treatment on November 9.
The victim has 13 years old daughter. The victim was abandoned in a hospital by her relatives due to the poor financial state. INSEC RUpendehi and the journalists organizations of the district had met the hospital administration and operated the campaign “save life of Sun Kumari” in coordination with Madhav Dhungana, chairperson of Lumbini Press Club.
However, victim Sun Kumari died while undergoing treatment on November 12. The accused Dhruba Nepali and Jala Nepali has been remanded into custody according to the police.
