Studies affected after school closed declaring epidemic
Studies of more than 12,000 students are affected after the schools at Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari are declared as epidemic zone on September 16 after the outbreak of Swine flu and Hongkong flu.
After the closure of school, students studying in 30 community and 24 private schools are affected according to education section chief Damodar Thakur.
Chief administrative office of the municipality said that the schools were closed for the safety reason as flu is break through and number of patients are increasing.
The emergency meeting held by Kanchanrup Municipality executive has decided and ordered to mobilize health workers for 24 hours and even during holidays.
City Mayor Basanta Mishra said that health professionals have been mobilized in all 12 wards and health camp is operating in some of the effected ward.
The outbreak of the flu started after the people returned paying homage at Babadham in Jharkhand , India. And they have been closely monitored so that it won’t spread according to CDO Surendra Paudel.
Health awareness program is being operated in the municipality along with distribution of pamphlets and miking .
