Stress given on solidarity between stakeholders to minimize violence
The participants of a program stressed on essential role of stakeholders to minimize the increasing trend of women violence.
They stressed while speaking in an interaction program organized by NHRC, INSEC, Civil Society Coalition for Peace and COCAP on the occasion of 16 days campaign against gender violence in Pokhara on December 2.
Speaking at the program, DSP Dilli Raj Panta of zonal police office said that it is necessary to operate awareness program up to village level in order to minimize women violence. He added that police, civil society and activists must jointly initiate the campaign to minimize women misbehavior in public transportation.
Laxmi GC Karki, chief of women and children office of Kaski said that everyone must be committed and move forward against the women violence. INSEC western regional coordinator Shiva Khakurel said that impunity must end in order to minimize the violence against women as there are increasing trend of women violence incidents and human rights violations.
