Stress given on role between the civil society and representatives

Participants in one program organized in Kaski have stressed that there is an important role between the civil society and local representatives for the protection of human rights.

They expressed their views during a program organized by Human Rights Protection Forum central committee in Pokhara on July 14 on the occasion of general assembly.

Chief speaker Subodh Raj Pyakurel , chairperson of INSEC, said that social justice, supremacy of citizens and rule of law is important for the protection of human rights.

He added that after 2036 BS, majority of the parties are addressing this issue and stressed that local representatives must respect and protect the human rights of people.

Chief judge Kumar Chudal of High Court, Pokhara said that the issue of human rights is transformed as per necessity. He added that positive thinking is important for the change.

Mayor Man Bahadur GC of Pokhara-Lekhnath Municipality said that representatives from civil society must praise the good work of local representative and must alert on wrong doings.

NHRC acting director Neetu Gartaula of Kaski said that there is less cautiousness on ESC rights as compared to Civil and political rights. She added that the commission is always stressing towards ESC rights.
