Stress given on making human rights friendly law
The stakeholders have recommended the provincial government to make human rights friendly laws.
They recommended the provincial government during the program held in Morang on “Role of provincial government on making Human Rights friendly Law”, organized by INSEC and NHRC on August 28 in Biratnagar.
They said that intensive discussion with civil society along with the recommendation from expert is necessary while formulating laws.
The participants said that it is important that they should know about the law for whom law is being made and they must have access to it.
In the program NHRC member Govinda Sharma Paudel, INSEC chair Subodh Raj Pyakurel, province 1 social development minister Jeevan Ghimire, house speaker Pradeep Bhandari and province members had expressed their views on making human rights friendly laws.
During the program, advocate Tikadhowj Khdaka had presented the work plan and stressed that laws should be made which can ensure the rights of citizens.
