State and organizations must have harmony

The Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) provincial office 1 has organized a dialogue program on “ Civil organization and constitutional rights” on March 11 in Biratnagar.

In the program, Law and internal affairs minister Hikmat Rai said that the civil organizations should point out the weakness of the state and state must regulate the organization to minimize the conflicts between them.

He added that the state is not able to do everything alone and organizations must support state to transform the society playing a participatory role.

He also said that debate and dialogue is necessary between the state and organizations.

Vice chair of provincial planning commission and INSEC immediate past chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel stressed that all organizations must work under the law.

He added that NGO Federation must work to enforce the code of conduct among the NGOs. INSEC chairperson Dr Indira Shrestha said that organizations are keys for the state and it always supports state in operation.

She added that such organizations must be operated by regulated by state and state must always play a participative role with organizations.

Provincial member Shekhar Thapa said that the role of the organizations must be reviewed for the noticeable changes in the society.

He added that the system has changed but the mentality could not be changed and stressed on correcting such thinking within the organization. The program was participated by provincial member Khinu Angla, Umesh B.K of NGO federation and INSEC provincial coordinator Som Raj Thapa of province 1.
