Sit-in-protest of Discharged ex- Maoist Combatant Continues(Photo Feature)
The discharged ex-Maoist combatants have continued their sit-in-protest in front of parliament building at New Baneshwor on November 10. They have protested a whole day in front of the building today. The discharged ex-Maoist combatant have been staging protest demanding various seven points demand since November 6.
Chiarperson Lenin Bista of discharged people’s liberation army said that the protest will continue until their demands are not addressed. He accused Maoist of forcefully engaging them in armed conflict in an early age and dumping them now.
He demanded compensation to the discharged Maoists who were forcefully taken to take part in armed conflict against international norms of children use in conflict. He further demanded for their secured future.
Their demands include removal of word “disqualified” with high honor for their contribution on establishing republican Nepal, long-term management of discharged Maoist combatant and compensation to those children who were used during conflict era against the international law.
Meanwhile, PLA affiliated former Maoist combatant have staged a sit-in-protest from November 10 in front of “Naya Shakti” party Office.
According to chairperson Lenin Bista of discharged PLA , the sit-in-protest was started in Babarmahal at 4PM.
Bista said that some of the leaders from Naya Shakti said that they will initiate to address their demands to find the solution however, he said that the protest will continue until their demand is not addressed.
