Show Cause Reason Issued On Slowness In Announcement of Election Date
The Supreme Court has issued a show cause reason for slowness in announcing election date of constitution assembly and making a necessary law regarding the provincial election.
A single bench of Judge Dr Anandamohan Bhattarai asked for the reason of slowness in date announcement of election wit in 15 days on September 8.
The writ application was lodged in Supreme Court on September 5 by advocate Dr Chandra Kanta Gyawali, Bimal Gyawali, Liladhar Upadhyaya and Shahi Kumar Karki making Prime Minister and its office as a defendant.
The writ states “Implement the constitution by announcing the election date forming federal commission for recommendation along with making respecting laws regarding constituency determining commission and provincial demarcation “.
