Rights activists drawn the attention on TRC’s work
The Accountability Watch Committee (AWC) has drawn the special attention of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and CIEDP in context of approaching expiring date of their tenure on February 8 without accomplishing their task.
“Transitional Justice is the special part of peace process and both commissions were formed to address this issue. The AWC believes that both commissions have failed to conduct their task as the commission was in controversy during its formation’, the press released by the committee stated.
The committee has also demanded the government to re-form both the commissions along with necessary amendment to make it more credible.
