Rights Activist draws attention not to use children in election
The rights activists of the district have drawn the attention of political parties for not to use children during the local level election.
The rights activists reached the party office and drew their attention for not to use children in any election related activities. INSEC regional office of Biratnagar, CIZAP including dozens of organizations working on this field have handed over the letter to CPN UML, Federal Socialist Forum and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Democratic.
INSEC eastern regional coordinator Som Thapa said that the attention was drawn after children were found to be used by the parties in election activities.
He said that the attention will be drawn to other major political parties as well.
Chairperson Raj Kumar Yadav of Federal Socialist party said that the party is sensitive towards children and committed of not using them in any election related activities.
Similarly, District vice-chairperson Sabir Ahamed of Madhesi Janadhiikar Forum (Democratic) said that the party is committed to make child friendly campaign successful and committed of not using children in election activities.
