Right activists demands to ensure rights of victim’s family
The rights activists of the district have demanded with the government to ensure the justice of the victims by arresting the convict along with the severe punishment especially after the raising trend of violence against women and children in the recent days.
The joint press released by Civil society network for peace, INSEC Gandaki province office, Women Human Rights Defenders National Network, Kopila Nepal including many other rights organizations on August 28 have said that the increasing trend of women and children violence has failed to realize the rule of law.
The press statement further said that the incident of rape and killing in Kailali, Kanchanpur, Kavre, Siraha and recovering of dead body of 13 years old Sushmita Lamichhane from the bank of Phewa River has showed that the society is becoming insecured.
Similarly, the activists have demanded the local government, provincial government and federal government to bring proper law and implement it to stop further violence in future.
