Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Rajan Century of Sidhhalek rural municipality-7 from his temporary residence at Chandragiri municipality-6, Thankot. He has been accused of raping a 25-year-old woman. The accused was arrested on August 10, 2020, and exposed on August 11 by the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, informed DSP Ghanshyam Shrestha.
Century had lied to the victim about his marital status and married her. After five days of the marriage, he had escaped with an amount of rs two hundred thousand and 23.35 grams gold (2 Tola).
The complaint was filed on August 7 at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, informed DSP Ghanshyam Shrestha.
A case has been filed against the accused on August 12 at the District Court and investigation is ongoing. The health checkup of the victim was conducted on August 11 at Prasuti Griha.
