Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Devendra Bahadur Kunwar, 38, a resident of Babla in Sanphebgar Municipality-11 on February 28 on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.
According to Sai Madan Singh Dhami of the Area Police Office, Thati, the accused was arrested after the victim lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Thati on February 28 alleging that Kunwar had raped the girl while she was returning from a picnic.
According to Inspector Janak Bohora of the District Police Office, Achham, the accused is being kept in the custody of the District Police Office.
Teacher Laxmi Prasad Joshi said that the students of the National Secondary School had padlocked the school demanding strict action against the involved teacher.
