Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Shankar Sapkota, 32, of Gimdi in Bagmati Rural Municipality-7 on January 14 on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Chapagaun on the same day.
According to DSP Tek Bahadur Karki of the Metropolitan Police Circle, the accused has been remanded in custody by the Lalitpur District Court for another seven days.
The health examination of the victim girl was conducted at Patan Hospital Jawalakhel on January 14, informed Dr Ravi Shakya.
