Provincial and CA election can be in two phases: EC
Chief election commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav said that provincial and CA election scheduled for November 26 can be held in two phases.
Chief Commissioner Yadav said that due to the geographical location and preparation for the election, it is possible to hold election in two phases.
He added that during the month of November, there is snow fall in hilly district of the country and natural challenges must be taken onto the consideration.
He clarified that proposal to hold election in two phases in November 20 and December 7 has been presented to the government.
He further demanded the government to provide commission’s report which determines the commission’s election area and Act.
Yadav said that the management of ballot papers for the next election is the biggest challenge for the commission and said that the commission will hold the election through two ballot papers.
