Primary Health Centre without doctors: Beneficiaries in crisis
The beneficiaries at Kolti Primary Health Centre is at crisis after there is a shortage of health professionals.
The center is running out of health professionals after Dr Bijaya Kumar Shah is in sabbatical leave and another Dr Satya Shahi finished is contract period.
More than 100 patients are coming in the center in a daily basis and they are compelled to go t Nepalgunj according to the health center.
The Kolti Primary Health Centre is providing health services to the citizens of four local levels of northern Bajura including Huma, Kalikot and Mugu.
Patients are compelled to use air services by paying huge amount according to chairperson Bagdal Malla of Tajakot Rural Municipality of Humla.
District Health Chief Dr Rup Chandra B.K said that initiation to extend the contract of Dr Satya Shahi is on process.
