Prakash Human Rights Award-2076 to Dr. Bishwakarma of Bajura

On July 21, 2020, INSEC Executive Committee decided to honor Dr Roop Chandra Bishwakarma, a dedicated and well-known name in the sector of health care with this year’s Prakash Human Rights AwardDr.RupChandraBishwakarma

On a press statement released by Dr Indira Shrestha, Chairperson of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC), on 31 July 2020, the information was publicized.

‘On July 31, 1992, INSEC’s Founder Secretary General Mr. Prakash Kafle had lost his life in a crash of Thai Airways at Ghoptebhir in Nuwakot. To mark the contributions of Late Kafle in the journey of Nepal’s human rights and social justice, the Prakash Memorial Award was initiated.’- mentioned in the statement.

Individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of human rights, politics, education, health and social affairs of Nepal are rewarded on the Prakash Memorial Day. So far, twenty five individuals have been rewarded on this day.

The awardee will be presented with Rs 50,000 cash prize, certificate of honor and INSEC’s emblem.
