Postponed Polling resumes in Saptari Peacefully

The postponed polling at ward number 15 of Rajbiraj Municipality after the death of the candidate has resumed today peacefully.

Mahanthi Yadav, a ward candidate from RJPN had died on SEPTEMBER 16 and the polling of that ward was postponed according to Election Commission.

Voters were queuing since morning with enthusiasm. The polling has started 7 in the morning in two polling stations. There are significant participation of female voters in the election.

In two polling stations at Basic School Deuribharuwa and Musharniya, there is significant participation of voters. There are 348 female and 379 male voters. The vote casting is continuing according to polling officer Upendra Prasad Shah.

The security has been tightened along with mobilization of  35 policemen according to DPO. The armed police force and army is also giving security to the polling station.

The polling in nine municipalities and nine Rural Municipality has already been conducted and vote counting process is continuing.

The vote counting of postponed polling will continue from this evening according to Chief Polling Officer Sharada Prasad Koirala.
