Political parties show commitment to follow election code of conduct
Various political parties have shown their commitment to follow the election code of conduct in upcoming provincial and federal election. The Election Commission had organized a discussion program with the political parties with the objective of making election fair and fearless.
The commitment of political parties states that they are committed to make election disciplined and manageable as election is the base of democracy and clean, fair election can only help to improve democracy and good governance.
The parties showing commitment were Chairperson and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba of Nepali Congress, Chairperson K.P Sharma Oli of CPN UML, Mahanta Thakur of RJP Nepal including other political parties.
During the meeting, the spokesperson of the commission, Nawa Raj Dhakal said that the candidate of HoR has a limit of 2.5 million as his expenses and 1.5 million for the provincial election.
