Political Parties committed on not using children in Election
The active political parties of the district have committed of not using children in their any political and election related activities. Eight political parties have signed the commitment letters in a meeting held on June 2.
Nepali congress, CPN UML, Maoist centre , RPP including many other political parties have committed of not using children under 16 years in election campaign, election assembly, meeting, rallies and assemblies.
The meeting was held on chairmanship of CDO Babu Ram Gautam in presence of CoC monitoring coordinator Buddhi Prasad Sharma and chief election officer Bharatmani Khanal.
The constitution of Nepal, Child Rights Covenant 1989, Children Act and many other laws of the state has prohibited on using children in any political activities including election.
